Eynsham Abbey Ponds are a large flight of fishponds established in the 13th century by the Eynsham Abbey.,
"The Queen's Head Artists" exhibition has been hung. This shows the work of five local artists including me. Our work will be on display in the small bar which is open in the evenings. I can be see having a drink here on Friday evenings.
One of the ponds is being restored so as to expand the habitat for the wild life. Information about the plans for the ponds can be found in the Eynsham Online link in the sidebar.
This pub is probably the oldest building in Eynsham. The area where the new building work is going on was the Court House for the Newlands in 1215. Today, when the render was removed, this arch was exposed. The exposed wood of the roof looks interesting.
